PROFILE

Dennis Sun is a cum laude graduate of Fine Arts Major in
Visual Communications at the University of the Philippines,
Diliman, Quezon City.
While taking his master's degree, he was teaching
Art Appreciation and Humanities to college students.
After a year, he went to Tokyo and worked as a
graphic designer
and illustrator for a decade before embarking on
freelance career.

Dennis works an art creator. Aside from being an established artist,
graphic designer and illustrator by profession, he also does sculptures,
etchings, computer graphics, ceramics, murals, and comic strips.
Dennis also helps other artists produce solo and group shows around
Tokyo.
Dennis works as the editor-in-chief and creative art director of Jeepney Press,
a free publication for Filipinos in Japan.

Dennis has worked with Asahi Weekly Shinbun and had his own weekly column,
STRANGERS SURVIVING, which talks on how foreigners survive in Japan.
His column became so popular that he was also given his own colorful comic strip
to the delight of his fans.
Dennis has won several design, art, literary and academic awards both in
the Philippines and Japan. His works have been exhibited all around Japan, USA
and around Asia. He plans to bring his works in as many countries to spread
more love and joy to the world.

Dennis contributes his multi-talents to charity events. He designs logos, brochures
and even lends his emceeing skills to these charitable events.
In 2002, Dennis was nominated by the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo for the
Presidential Heritage Award for his outstanding performance of his field of work in Japan.
